La máquina de escribir de Helios fué una intrigante máquina de escribir alemana introducida en 1908. Utilizando un teclado muy diferente a las demás máquinas de escribir con solamente dos filas de teclas en vez de los tres encontrados generalmente en las máquinas del tipo-rueda. Para acomodar todas las letras, los números, y la necesidad de la puntuación de mecanografiar, cada tecla maneja cuatro diversos caracteres, los seleccionan usando una (o ninguna) de tres diversas teclas de mayúsculas. Alrededor del 1.914, la Helios fue mejorada y salio al mercado como Ultima, LA MAS RARA Y DIFICÍL DE ENCONTRAR DE TODAS LAS VARIANTES DE LA HELIOS. Con solamente 21 teclas colocadas en dos filas y las 3 teclas de mayúsculas se puede mecanografiar cualquier cosa en la Helios. Around 1914, the Helios was improved and the market as the Helios Klimax and was also sold under the name Ultima.
