In fact, these artworks are not true portraits but figures of a popular character much sought after by the Roman aristocracy. In the couple in question we see a man in an inn watching us while toasting and a young girl with a basket of fruit, of notable pictorial quality, found in particular in the meticulous details of the clothes and the still life.
