Granget ( Karlsruhe , 16 de junio de 1932 ; 12 de julio de 2010 ) fue un escultor alemán, especialmente conocido por sus obras en porcelana. Se le consideraba un defensor del realismo y buscaba contrastar la belleza de la fauna con un mundo tecnológico. Su material predilecto fue inicialmente la porcelana y, en su etapa posterior, la madera. Granget estudió escultura en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Karlsruhe . En 1967, Lorenz Hutschenreuther AG financió un viaje de estudios a Estados Unidos y Canadá, dedicado a la avifauna local; Granget recibió asesoramiento del ornitólogo John A. Ruthven. En 1969, se presentaron los primeros diez diseños de aves.
