PAINTING RAFAEL ALBERTI 1902-1999 SIGNED & DATED (ATTRIB.)

Beautiful painting depticting a pigeon in flight.

It is signed R Alberti,  dated 86 and bears a dedication which I can not understand.

Rafael Alberti´s first vocation was painting.

The real discovery of his dedication towards painting occurred in 1917, when he moved to Madrid for family reasons, and entered the Prado Museum for the first time.

Without abandoning completely his pictoral vocation, his life opens to what will be the centre of his inspiration: the poetry. He combines the two arts in which he unites visual symbols and words.

He never abandoned his work as a painter, although it became more important to him in later years.

Technique : Agglutinated sand on plaque.
