Exquisita cómoda estilo Transición entre Luis XV y Luis XVI, realizada hacia 1900 en Francia. Presenta un impresionante sobre de mármol que descansa sobre una estructura de perfil mixtilíneo y dos registros, de gran capacidad, con tiradores gemelos de forma redonda y cincelados, además de la cerradura central, mucho más ostentosa. La cómoda se levanta sobre patas galveadas, las dos delanteras con sablots, y se remata con un pequeño faldón. Sin embargo, esta pieza destaca por la marquetería que presenta en tres de sus lados, donde se utilizan diferentes de diferentes maderas frutales que aportan una riquísima variedad tonal al patrón planteado, de tendencia renacentista, como instrumentos musicales, cuernos de la abundancia o banderillas. Líneas finas y típicas de la época, una cómoda de la más alta calidad, meritoria de un lugar de honor en el hogar.

An exquisite Transition-style chest of drawers between Louis XV and Louis XVI, made around 1900 in France. It features an impressive marble top resting on a mixed-linear structure and two generously sized drawers, with twin rounded and chiseled handles, as well as the much more ostentatious central lock. The chest stands on galvanized legs, the two front ones with sablots, and is finished with a small skirt. However, this piece stands out for the marquetry on three sides, which uses different fruitwoods, adding a rich tonal variety to the Renaissance-inspired design, such as musical instruments, horns of plenty, or banderillas. The fine lines are typical of the period, a chest of drawers of the highest quality, worthy of a place of honor in the home.
