Bigotera de puntas de la Segunda Mitad S.XIX. Probablemente pertenecería a una caja de compases. Se compone de dos piezas. Mango y cuerpo de puntas. El mango es de una aleación de metales blancos. Está estriado para mejorar la sujeción. Se fija al cuerpo de puntas mediante un bulón embutido en la cabeza del cuerpo. El cuerpo de acero, es de patas rígidas con las puntas unificadas en una sola pieza. La apertura de la bigotera, es decir, la distancia entre las patas de puntas, se gradúa mediante una ruedecilla que se enrosca a un tornillo de regulación, que atraviesa libremente una pata, y queda fijado a la pata opuesta mediante un micro bulón, lo que permite su giro. Esta distancia es la que permite mantener una distancia fija para su traslado. Las puntas se encuentran en buen estado. Tienen algo de oxidación y suciedad. 
Muy interesante como pieza de colección. Es conveniente realizar una limpieza, y un tratamiento adecuado para el óxido, lo que mejoraría sensiblemente su aspecto, y revalorizaría muy notablemente la pieza. 
Comentarios: Debido a que es inevitable las diferencias de tonalidades entre fotos y realidad, hay que tener presente que los tonos de los colores de las fotos no son exactamente iguales a los tonos de los colores reales. La pieza presenta el desgaste propio de su tiempo, así como algunas manchas. Tiene pequeños desperfectos. Los datos aquí facilitados son opiniones personales no contrastados.

A moustache box with points from the second half of the 19th century. It probably belonged to a compass box. It is made up of two pieces. Handle and body of points. The handle is made of a white metal alloy. It is knurled to improve the grip. It is fixed to the point body by means of a bolt embedded in the head of the body. The steel body has rigid legs with the tips unified in one piece. The opening of the moustache, i.e. the distance between the legs of the tips, is adjusted by means of a wheel which is screwed onto a regulating screw, which passes freely through one leg and is fixed to the opposite leg by means of a micro bolt, which allows it to be rotated. This distance is the one that allows to maintain a fixed distance for its transfer. The tips are in good condition. They have some rust and dirt. 
Very interesting as a collector's item. It would be advisable to clean it, and to treat the rust, which would improve its appearance considerably, and would revalue the piece very considerably. 
Comments: Due to the unavoidable differences in tonalities between photos and reality, it is necessary to bear in mind that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours. The piece shows the wear and tear of its age, as well as some stains. It has minor flaws. The information provided here are personal opinions not contrasted.
