Enmarcado en marco de madera. Xilografía policromada. Pájaros y azaleas. Sello rojo hanko, sello secundario. Firmado por Shizuo Ashikaga. Medidas sin marco: 26 x 39 cm. Shizuo Ashikaga (1917–1991) nació en la prefectura de Ehime y se formó en la Universidad Municipal de Artes de Kioto, donde tuvo entre sus maestros a Taikan Yokoyama. Desarrolló una carrera como pintor y también trabajó en la restauración de pinturas y templos antiguos. En la década de 1950 la editorial Uchida publicó sus grabados de flores y pájaros (kacho-e), obra por la que es especialmente conocido. Falleció en Kioto en 1991.

Framed in wood frame. Polychrome xylography. Birds and Azaleas. Hanko red stamp, secondary seal. Signed by Shizuo Ashikaga. Measures without frame: 26 x 39 cm. Shizuo Ashikaga (1917–1991) was born in Ehime's prefecture and trained at the Municipal University of Arts in Kyoto, where Taikan Yokoyama had among his teachers. He developed a career as a painter and also worked on the restoration of old paintings and temples. In the 1950s, the Uchida publishing house published its engravings of flowers and birds (Kacho-E), a work for which it is especially known. He died in Kyoto in 1991.

Shizuo Ashikaga (1917-1991) est né dans la préfecture d'Ehime et s'est entraîné à l'Université des Arts municipaux de Kyoto, où Taikan Yokoyama avait parmi ses professeurs.
