Since I've Been Loving You is a pure, studio-recorded live song. Gallows Pole, a folk song, is probably the biggest surprise on the album. Jimmy Page first heard him on a long-playing record by Fred Gerlach, a twelve-string guitarist.

The album fits in seamlessly with all legendary albums of this band.
