"Ommadawn" was released on October 21, 1975 and was Oldfield's third studio album after his successful albums "Tubular Bells" and "Hergest Ridge". Although it didn't have the same commercial success as "Tubular Bells", it was positively received by critics and is considered a masterpiece by many fans.
