For sale is Triumvirat – Pompeii, the seventh studio album by the Cologne-based progressive rock band, released in 1977 on Harvest Records. This album marks a turning point in the band's history: After the successes of Illusions on a Double Dimple (1974) and Spartacus (1975), which had brought Triumvirat international fame in the progressive rock world, the band broke new ground here. With Barry Palmer as the new singer and a more song-oriented approach, the music took on a clearer rock and pop appeal, yet remained characterized by Jürgen Fritz's virtuoso keyboard playing and the sophisticated arrangements that constituted Triumvirat's distinctive brand.
