Author's own handwritten text corrections. First edition. Primera edición. Ejemplar con correciones manuscritas del propio autor cetera correxit/scriptor. En el colofón del impresor aparece que esta obra está dedicada al rey Felipe II. Bernardo Sacco (Pavia 1497 - 1579). Member of the noble family Sacco from Pavia, he was, in 1534, ambassador of the Duke of Milan in the Court of France and tutor of one among Pope Julius IIIs nephew also coming from Pavia; he held the direction of the bishopric and became very close to the bishop Ippolito Rossi. He died at age 82 in Pavia. He was the author of books on local history including the De Rerum italicarum varietate et elegantia (Papiae, impressit Hieronymus Bartholus, 1565).
