It is in the heart of God to see us broken, poured out, and living life face down before Him. Many times it involves suffering but is considered a loving work of the Father orchestrated gently by Him because He loves us too much to permit us to continue in our fleshly coping mechanisms and excuses. Although biblical brokenness is a work of the Father, it starts with our choices to be a living sacrifice willing to die daily to our fleshly wants and desires for the higher good of honoring God. Brokenness is a daily study for 10 weeks emphasizing the beauty of a broken life before the Lord. Come, let us walk together as we experience the broken and poured-out life.
Brokenness is about allowing Christ to live His life in and through us. To accomplish this, we need to get out of the way. This is called dying to self. It is a 70 day study course learning the discipline of humbling oneself and allowing God to raise us up. The proud will be humbled, yet the humbled will be exalted. Walk with me as we embrace the pure discipleship essentials of the Word while learning to love God with your whole heart, mind, and soul. Then and only then will we know the joy that the Father has for us, and we can proclaim, I like the Christian life.
