Iceland Up Close and Personal is a fantastic, high-quality illustrated book that makes for a wonderful insight into Icelandic life. The author of this picture book, Thorsten Henn, is a German photographer who first visited Iceland in his teens, fell in love with the country and eventually made it his home. Through his wonderful photographs, he aims to capture the elemental forces, the primeval energy of Iceland, including its inhabitants - the conflicts and coexistence of man and nature.
