The book is devoted to the history and people of the Labour Guard Regiment of the Finnish Regiment-Fourth Regiment of the 2nd Guards Infantry Division. The Imperial Militia Battalion took part in all the battles of 1807 with the French, and within a year was assigned to the Guard, and in 1811 was deployed to the Guards Regiment. The Finns honourably passed all the major military campaigns of the nineteenth century and, like other regiments of the Imperial Russian Guard, disappeared on the battlefields of the World War I. At different times, the ranks of this regiment included the outstanding statesman N.N. Muravyev-Amursky, War Minister P.S. Vannovsky, Alexander Sergei Pushkin's Lyceum comrade I. V.
